50多年前的抗美援朝战场上，原籍山东新泰的刘绍安和江苏泰兴籍的张志久是两位亲密的战友，他们曾许下诺言：无论谁牺牲了，活着的一方就去赡养对方的父母。战斗中，张志久为掩护刘绍安不幸牺牲，刘绍安不违诺言，转业后来到了泰兴张家当起了“儿子”。昨日的首映式上，85岁高龄的刘绍安也坐着轮椅来到了现场，由于身体原因老人未能接受采访，他的儿子刘爱勤先生告诉记者，“父亲曾经说过，他一辈子只做了一件事，做了一件无怨无悔的事，就是用一生履行了战友的‘生命之约’。”影片由徐洪浩、刘晓洁主演，在江苏泰兴取景拍摄，泰兴的风土人情尽现眼前。就整体而言，影片的感人程度不逊色于《集结号》，它表现的战友之间“一诺千金”的情义和人性之美在如今看来更是弥足珍贵。
