While fishing used to be a way of supporting oneself, wealthy London tourists have now descended and are displacing the locals, whose livelihood is thus threatened. The relationship between brothers Steven and Martin is also strained. Martin is a fisherman without a boat, since Steven started using it for far more lucrative tours for all the day-trippers. They’ve sold the family cottage and now it seems that the final battle to be fought is that with the new owners over the parking space next to the sea. Yet the situation soon gets out of hand, and not just because of the wheel clamp. Bait is a black-and-white film shot on hand-processed 16mm. Numerous close-ups of fish, nets, lobsters, wellington boots, knots and catch baskets bring to mind the theory of a montage of attractions. The depiction of the different social strata – one could speak of class relations – is also reminiscent of the tradition of social realism in British cinema. Above all, however, a whole lot of current political relevance is waiting to be discovered beneath the different layers of film historical references contained in the images.

剧情：
圣诞节临近，狮子亚历克斯（本·斯蒂勒BenStiller配音）、斑马马蒂（克里斯·洛克ChrisRock配音）、长颈鹿迈尔曼（大卫·休默DavidSchwimmer配音）以及河马格洛里亚（贾达·萍克·史密斯JadaPinkettSmith配音）决定正式告别马达加斯加，回到久违的纽约共度佳节。冷冷清清的送别晚会没能熄灭它们归去的热情，好伙伴们燃起热气球正式出发，可是却被狐猴王朱利安当作红色妖盗击落下来。不久，真的红色妖盗出现夜空，混乱之中亚历克斯阴差阳错将其打落，结果却发现所谓的红色妖盗竟然是圣诞老人！倒霉的是圣诞老人被砸失忆，为了不让全世界小朋友失望，亚历克斯他们和企鹅帮决定充当圣诞老人的助手，将礼物送到世界每一个角落。
